Orion Nebula

I was reading that this star formation was the closet to earth but yet so far. One of the articles said if you got on the space shuttle going 5 miles per second it would take you 37,000 years to go one light year. And Orion was roughly 1350 light years away. So if my math is correct it would take you roughly 50,000,000 years to get there. Is that right? If so, that's a long way.
